Probably the biggest NHL tailgating scene in the league. During playoff runs commentators always mention how long fans from both sides have been at the RBC center.

Parking surrounds the entire complex. A small wedge is off limits to general parking, and signs indicate where premier parking is. Beware that the premier parking lot is partitioned in half around that 3 hours before mark, and you will be asked to move if you do not have the proper pass.

Cost for the 2009-2010 season was $10 per car. Park near the lawn areas or islands for more free tailgating space.

Officially the lots open 3 hours before the event, however many arrive much earlier. If you choose to arrive early know where to park and have your money in hand when the attendant comes by.

"Tailgating is permitted in one parking space only. Please dispose of charcoal properly, and do not leave an open fire unattended. Please think of your fellow guests while tailgating, be safe, and dispose of all trash, bottles and cans. Broken glass may cause harm to others walking on the PNC Arena property."

PNC Arena is a venue for many events, most notably Carolina Hurricanes hockey, and NC State basketball.
