General Overview
The Bills are known for their tailgate atmosphere; tailgating is very common at Bills games. The most common tailgate spots are within the Stadium lots, which are scattered off of Abbott Road; however, tailgates can also be found in the various non-sanctioned lots scattered around the stadium, on such streets as Abbott Road, Southwestern Boulevard, and others.
How To Get To Buffalo Bills Tailgate
There are several ways to get to Ralph Wilson Stadium, depending on where you're coming from. Interstate 90 and US 219 are common travel routes, as they each run on either side of the stadium. Each route is clearly marked with signs for the stadium. Other potential routes, if you're looking to bypass the sometimes crowded highways, include NY 5, which runs from downtown via the Skyway, US 62 (South Park Ave.), and Abbott Road. South Park and Abbott are easily accessible from South Buffalo, and provide an efficient bypass of the major routes. If you're coming from the south, US 20 (Southwestern Blvd.) can be a good option.
Parking Information
There are numerous parking options for Buffalo Bills games.
As with any stadium, there are stadium lots which offer slightly more expensive parking in exchange for the convenience of being just outside or across the street from the stadium itself. These parking lots are notorious for taking a long time to clear out in the postgame, and are also well-known for their sometimes rowdy tailgating atmosphere. It is quite common for these lots to close well before the game starts, as many tailgaters arrive as early as possible to set up their tailgates.
For a slightly cheaper option, and a different atmosphere, there are many independent lots along Abbott Road, or on the sidestreets such as Webster or East Abbott Grove. Generally, the lots here are grass lots that are owned by the homeowners. The price is usually $10-15 to park, depending on where you park. Positives of parking here are the lower price and easy-out postgame, if you're planning on taking Abbott or California. Depending on your point-of-view, the more subdued tailgating atmosphere could be a good thing or a bad thing. People will still be tailgating, don't worry, but there will be fewer people and more open space for you to spread out. These lots generally do not fill up until it gets close to gametime, unlike the stadium lots.

Stadium Information
The stadium is located in the southern suburb of Orchard Park. If you're planning on coming into town, and want to stay downtown at a hotel, be prepared to make the drive out to Orchard Park - the stadium is nowhere near downtown.
Local Attractions
There is not much near Orchard Park in terms of attractions. The stadium is in a good location, on one hand, because there's no downtown traffic to deal with, but is very far removed from the city of Buffalo itself.
