General Overview

Ames, IA is a great college town to tailgate in. The surface parking lots around the stadium are reserved for Cyclone Club Members. There are numerous grass lots (general parking) available that allow for extra tailgating space. There is a lot of space for a RV, Bus, etc.

How To Get To Iowa State Tailgate

ROUTES TO JACK TRICE STADIUM (JTS)
From the North
Once in Ames, go west on 13th Street. Go south on Grand Avenue to Lincoln Way. Take Lincoln Way west to University Boulevard. The JTS will be on the west side of University
Boulevard.
From the East (westbound on US HWY 30)
Take the Duff Avenue (Exit 148) north to South 16th Street. Take South 16th Street west to JTS.
From the West (eastbound on US HWY 30)
Take South Dakota (Exit 144) north to Mortenson Road. Head east on Mortenson to University Boulevard. Go north on University Boulevard to JTS
From the South
Interstate 35 to US HWY 30 (Exit 111B.) Refer to directions “from the east.”

Parking Information

General public (non-Cyclone Club member) parking lots open 6 hours prior to kickoff. There is limited general public (non-donor parking) single game parking at both Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum. For football games, this public parking for cars and is available in Lots G2, G3, G4, G5, G8, G9 and, Vet Med Lot 93. RV parking for non-donors is available in lots G2, G3, G4, G5, G8, G9, and Vet Med Lot 93.

Handicap Parking
Patrons with state-issued handicap permits can park (on a first-come, first-served basis) in Lot S2 ($15 per game) for football and Lots B2 and B3 (no charge) for men.s and women.s basketball. Cyclone Club members, who purchase a donor football season parking pass and have a state-issued handicap permit, should show both passes to the parking attendant and the fee will be waived while spaces are available.

Charter Bus Parking
All Cyclone Club parking lots open at 7 a.m. General public parking lots open six hours prior to kick-off.
Charter bus parking is $50 (cash only). Fee may be waived for Cyclone Tent buyers if notified in advance of the game (no later than Wednesday, 5 p.m.). Please contact Nathan Terry by email: nterry@iastate.edu.
Charter bus parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Charter buses will be directed to specific areas by parking attendants (see map below).
Tailgating is prohibited at or near designated charter bus parking.
Once parked, buses will not be permitted to leave until the conclusion of the game.
Charter buses will be directed to enter Jack Trice Stadium from the south and proceed to the west along Stadium Drive (see diagram below).

Group Tent Rental
The Cyclone Tent program has evolved into the most exclusive tailgating opportunity on Iowa State football game days. The excitement of the Cyclone Tent program is perfect for: corporate outings, alumni gatherings, social parties, fraternity or sorority socials, birthday parties or anniversaries.

Two types of tents, standard and auxiliary, are available for purchase.

Standard tents: cardinal and gold striped tents are 20' x 30' and include picnic tables and parking passes. Standard tents are available for the season or a single game and hold 50-60 people and are located north and south of Jack Trice Stadium.
Auxiliary tents: available in a variety of sizes. Auxiliary tents are only available on a single-game basis and include banquet tables and parking passes. Auxiliary tents can be setup in several areas around Jack Trice Stadium.

A $20.00 processing fee will be added to each tent/ticket order.

Stadium Information

Restricted Items
All bags, backpacks, video cameras, large cases, fanny packs and purses (larger than 10" by 10") are prohibited and banned from the interior of the stadium.

Only those items required for medical, family or child care needs, one 20 oz. unopened bottle of water will be allowed per person. All carried items and entrants are subject to search.

Prohibited items must be returned to the owner’s car or discarded. Any unlawful items are subject to confiscation, and the person in possession of such items is subject to arrest.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

Artificial noisemakers
Backpacks, fanny packs, large purses (larger than 10" by 10")
Cameras (professional equipment or cameras with long telephoto lenses)
Chairbacks or stadium seats (cushions are allowed)

Pets (with the exception of service animals used by disabled guests)

Toilet tissue

Re-Entry Policy
Patrons must have a ticket stub and their hand stamped (received upon exit) for re-entry into the stadium. Re-entry will be allowed only at gates 2 and 4. Re-entry will not be allowed before kickoff or after the start of the 4th quarter.
