Food and Drink
Caskn Flagon, 62 Brookline Ave.
The day of a Red Sox game, if you don't get here early, go somewhere else. There is plenty of seating at the U-shaped bar, and booths and tables as well, but it is always packed.
Whos on First?, 19 Yawkey Way.
Who's on First caters to Red Sox fans. It opens at 4PM when the Sox are playing, but not until 9PM on non-game days. The beer is cheap, and it is less crowded than other bars.
Copperfields, 98 Brookline Ave.
Copperfield's is a change of pace from the other bars in the area. They have live music Thursday through Saturday night and aren't even open on Sundays unless there is a game.
Avalon Club, 15 Landsdowne St.
Be warned that the cover charge for live bands can be up to $15, but national bands play here on occasion. It generally doesn't open until 10PM and when there is no live band, its a typical dance club.
Jake Ivorys Piano Bar, 1 Landsdowne St.
This is another bar that doesn't open until late night, but it is a happening place to go after a game. Weekday cover is $3 and weekends are $6 but there is always live piano tunes sung along to by the crowd.
Boston Beer Works, 61 Brookline Ave.
Boston Beer Works features a wide variety of home brews that are made on site. The menu features standard bar fare as well as unique specialties.
